The News Minute | January 13, 2015 | 9:47pm IST Thiruvananthapuram : The people of Kerala will not allow a bust of Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse to be put up in the state, the Congress said Tuesday. State Congress president V.M. Sudheeran said in a statement that the Hindu Mahasabha, which has now started to glorify Godse, has announced that it will be installing a bust of Godse in many places in the country. "There are reports that indicate that busts (of Godse) would be put up in Kerala too. This is going to be opposed strongly by nationalists here who are peace-loving people and have a strong secular outlook. "Any attempt to sow seeds of hatred will be strongly opposed by the people of Kerala," Sudheeran said. IANS
