Actor Keerthy Suresh, who was last seen in Vijay – A R Murugadoss film Sarkar, has a slew of interesting projects in her kitty, including her Bollywood debut film opposite Ajay Devgn. Currently juggling between the sets of two Telugu films being directed by Narendra and Nagesh Kukunoor, Keerthy is believed to have signed a new Tamil film which will be bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj’s production house. To be directed by a debutant director, the film is reportedly a female-centric thriller and Keerthy is believed to have already given her nod.

An official announcement regarding this project is expected to be made in the coming weeks. Keerthy is currently shooting for her Telugu film with director Narendra in Europe where a predominant portion of the project will be shot. Meanwhile, she will commence shooting for her Hindi debut film opposite Ajay Devgn from June onwards. To be directed by Amit Sharma of Badhaai Ho fame and produced by Boney Kapoor, the biopic will also chronicle our national football team’s glory from 1950 to 1963. While Ajay will essay Syed’s role, Keerthy will play his wife in the film.

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Keerthy is also said to have been roped in for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, which will star Vikram, Jayam Ravi and Karthi among others. Buoyed by the success of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Lyca Productions has agreed to come on board to fund Ratnam’s dream project. If everything goes as planned, the project might kick off from this year-end or early next year. Telugu veteran actor Mohan Babu is said to have been roped in for a crucial role in the film, which will be simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu.

She also has Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, which is being helmed by the award-winning director Priyadarshan and has Mohanlal playing the title role. This historical also has Prabhu, Suneil Shetty, Siddique, Ashok Selvan, Manju Warrier, Arjun Sarja, and Mukesh in pivotal roles.
