Keerthy Suresh will be playing a cameo in the upcoming Nagarjuna starrer Manmandhudu 2. Reports are that the film’s director Rahul Ravindran had requested her to play the role as she would be apt for it and Keerthy agreed to hop on board.

Reports are that a major portion of the film will be shot in Europe. Bankrolled jointly by Nag’s Manam Enterprises and Anandi Art Creations, Manmadhudu 2 has music by Chintan Bharadwaj. The film’s star cast comprises Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead with Vennela Kishore, Lakshmi, Devadarshini, Rao Ramesh and Jhansi in supporting roles. On Nag choosing Rahul Ravindran to direct the sequel, we hear that the actor-turned-director impressed the star so much with his debut flick Chi La Sow which fetched him the opportunity to don the director’s robes for the sequel to Manmadhudu.

It may be noted here that Manmadhudu, a 2002 rom com, had Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead role and he had bankrolled the venture under his home banner Annapurna Studios. The film was a big hit in his career and after all these years, a sequel to it is being made.

Meanwhile, Keerthy is busy with the Nagesh Kukkunoor directorial. The first schedule of this film was wrapped up recently and Keerthy Suresh will be joining the sets in the second schedule, we hear. According to reports, she was offered the role only after an audition and trial shoot. Sources in the know say that the actor was able to impress the filmmaker with her performance that he immediately made up his mind to rope in her for the project.

Being a female-centric film, Keerthy is sure to have a performance oriented role in this Nagesh Kukunoor directorial. Devi Sri Prasad had been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick.  Reports are that Reliance Entertainment will be bankrolling the Nagesh Kukunoor film.
