DMK Chief M Karunanidhi has served a legal notice against PWF convenor Vaiko for accusing him of offering a bribe to DMDK chief VIjaykanth during alliance talks.

MDMK chief and the convenor of the PWF, Vaiko on Friday told reporters that Vijayakanth was approached both by DMK and BJP who were ready to provide crores of rupees, Rs 300-500 crores. ‘

“Despite so much money and so many seats, and even a ministerial post, he has stood his ground and refused,” added Vaiko.

On Wednesday, after many twists and turns, DMDK chief Vijayakanth had joined with the MDMK led PWF alliance for the forthcoming elections.

This meant that the state would go for a  multi-cornered battle and understandably unsettled the DMK as the DMK Supremo Karunanidhi had expressed his hopefulness for a DMK-DMDK alliance.
