The longstanding feud between the personal assistants of BJP state President BS Yeddyurappa and Leader of Opposition in the Vidhana Parishad KS Eshwarappa has taken a new turn.

Eshwarappa’s personal assistant Vinay NS has now filed a fresh complaint against Yeddyurappa’s PA Santosh at the Amruthahalli police station alleging threat to his life.

According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, Vinay filed a complaint on Saturday. In his complaint, he alleged that Santosh had issued threats to him and his family and that he feared that Yeddyurappa’s aide, along with his men, would attack him.

Vinay has sought police protection for him and his family. Speaking to media persons after filing the complaint, Vinay said that on May 11 Santosh’s men tried to abduct him. “Santosh is currently out on bail and is planning to attack me,” Vinay added.

“I have learnt that Santosh held a meeting with his followers in his home recently. He had told them that they should have killed me on May 11, and that it was a mistake that they had only fractured my hand. In the meeting, he (Santosh) also said that he is committed to do something dangerous to my life. There are chances of me being attacked anytime,” Vinay said.

On May 11, an abduction attempt was made on Vinay by a few men near Bengaluru’s Iskcon temple in Mahalakshmi Layout Police Station limits.

Following a complaint filed by Vinay to the Mahalakshmi Layout police, 11 people, including Rajendra Urs, the general secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha city unit, and history sheeter Prashant were arrested by the police.

All of them had named Santosh as the mastermind of the attempted abduction. Santosh was questioned by the ACP of Malleswaram Sub Division Anand Badiger, who is heading the investigations in this case.

“During his bail hearing, the prosecution had insisted the court cancel his bail saying he did not cooperate with the investigation,” he added.

The fight between the PA’s of top BJP leaders in the state has brought lot of embarrassment to the party. BS Yeddyurappa was also summoned for questioning in September. However, he did not appear before the investigating officer citing health reasons.
