After working together in Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai, director Rishab Shetty and actor Kiccha Sudeep will be soon teaming up for a film and the groundwork for it has already begun.
The duo’s friendship goes a long way back. Sudeep had reportedly made it clear to Rishab that he would star in his directorial venture if Rishab came up with a suitable script. After this, Rishab had been working diligently and now has two scripts ready for Sudeep’s perusal.
Sources say that while one script is a bilingual that will be made in Kannada and Hindi, the other script is a complete entertainer that will have Sudeep’s fans excited. Sources also said that there is a pivotal role in the bilingual for which the Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan would be apt and the filmmaker is planning to approach him for it.
Meanwhile, Kiccha Sudeep’s most expected film Phailwan is nearing completion and the first look released by the team has gone viral. Sudeep, as Baadshah in the movie, is the talk of the film industry right now. His well-toned physique in Phailwan shows that he has done a lot of hard work for the film. Sudeep plays a boxer and wrestler in the movie and had trained specially for it. Noted stunt choreographer Ravi Varma will be choreographing the stunt sequences in Phailwan.
Directed by Krishna, Phailwan is bankrolled by his wife Swapna Krishna. According to the director, the shooting of Phailwan is complete barring the climax, which will be shot in a few days. A high budget movie, Phailwan will be released in eight languages, the director said.
