The Upendra starrer Kabza had its official launch on Monday, November 18th as announced earlier. The event was well attended with Shiva Rajkumar, Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, politicians UT Khader and GT Devegowda, and others making their presence.
Kabza is touted to be a gangster film and the filmmakers are planning to release it in seven languages - Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali. The film, which is directed by R Chandru, is being produced under his own banner, Sri Siddheswara Enterprises.
It is set in the 1980s and the director has earmarked several locations in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Madurai, and Mangaluru for the shooting. We also hear that Upendra will be playing the don in it.
According to the latest reports about the heroine for this project, we hear that Kajal Aggarwal is in talks. The actor is impressed with the role that has been etched out for her and will most likely sign on the dotted line soon. If this happens, it will be Kajal’s debut in Sandalwood.
It may be noted that Upendra is currently busy with Buddhivantha 2 directed by Maurya DN. While the title gave rise to speculations that it may be a sequel to Upendra’s hit movie Buddhivantha, the director confirmed that it is not so. Upendra will be playing dual roles in this film with Sonal Monteiro and Meghana Raj as the female leads.
On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal is busy with a number of films. She has the magnum opus Indian 2 in her kitty. This mega-budget film is directed by Shankar and has Kamal Haasan playing the lead role. The Kajal starrer Paris Paris, which is the remake of the hit Hindi flick Queen, is in the pipeline for release.
