Even after arrest of the suspect in the Jisha case, the probe team is apparently still confused as the accused keeps changing his statements.

Police sources have revealed that Ameerul Islam changed his earlier statement on how many wounds he had inflicted on Jisha.  He says he had caused less than ten wounds on the victim’s body, whereas the autopsy report says 38.

However, three other witnesses have identified the suspect as Ameerul. Earlier, a woman who was the prime suspect and lives near Jisha’s house, had also identified the accused.

The house owner of the place where Ameerul stayed, Ameerul’s roommate and the footware shop owner were the witnesses who identified the suspect on Friday.

The foot-ware shop owner’s statement and the slippers Ameerul left behind at Jisha’s house were a turning point in the case that nailed the accused.

As per reports, police might have to clarify the recently recovered fingerprints. The fingerprints were collected from the glass fish tank in Jisha’s house.

Meanwhile, another fingerprint received from Jisha’s house that did not match with any other fingerprint samples that the police recovered, has also been troubling the investigation team.
