Jayaram is an accomplished actor not only in the Malayalam film industry but also in the Tamil and Telugu film industries as well. Having acted in scores of films in his long career, Jayaram tasted huge success with the recent Malayalam comedy Panchavarnathatha.

Released in April this year, the film was directed by Ramesh Pisharody and produced by Maniyanpilla Raju under the banner Maniyanpilla Raju Productions. According to trade reports, Panchavarnathatha had fetched its makers about Rs 11 crore within 12 days of its release. This naturally speaks about the film’s box office success, especially at a time when the star needed it the most.

With the success of Panchavarnathatha, Jayaram’s career has taken an upward swing with several offers coming his way. According to the latest reports doing the rounds, he has inked a deal to star in a film that will have Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role. We hear that Jayaram will be playing the hero’s dad in it and that it would be a meaty role. Interestingly, his last film in Tamil film was Uttama Villain, which had Kamal Haasan playing the hero. The film, directed by Ramesh Aravind, was released in 2015. So, he will be seen in a Tamil film after a three-year gap.

Jayaram has also signed on the dotted line to star in the Venkat Prabhu directorial Party. The official teaser of this film was released last year. The film has a big star cast, featuring Shaam, Jai, Shiva, Sathyaraj, Nasser, Ramya Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Nivetha Pethuraj and Sanchita Shetty in important roles.

On Jayaram’s film with Udhayanidhi Stalin, we hear that it will be directed by Enoc Able, who was an associate of director Atlee. The film, touted to be from the romantic comedy genre that Udhayanidhi is known for, will have Priya Bhavani Shankar and Induja playing the leads opposite him.
