Chief Minister Siddaramiah on Tuesday said that the decision on filing an appeal in the Supreme Court in the disproportionate assets case against former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa will be taken taken in a day or two, according to report in The Hindu. The Karnataka High Court on Monday had acquitted all the four accused in the case, including Jayalalithaa's aide Sasikala, foster son (now disowned) Sudhakaran and Illavarasi. The chief minister also said that he hadn't read the judgement and had directed the Law Department to study it, based on which a decision would be taken. Karantaka has been declared by the Supreme Court as the sole prosecuting agency in this case, said the report. DMK chief Karunanidhi on Tuesday said it would support the Karnataka government if it filed an appeal in the Supreme Court.
