YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy got a warm reception from Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday. Jagan along with his wife Bharati visited KCR’s residence in Hyderabad to invite him for Jagan's swearing-in ceremony in Vijayawada on May 30. Jagan is going to be sworn in as the CM of Andhra Pradesh after his party defeated Chandrababu Naidu's TDP in the Assembly polls.

At Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of KCR in Hyderabad, Jagan was welcomed by KCR’s family and a host of TRS leaders including Rajya Sabha MP Keshava Rao, Home Minister Mahmood Ali and Speaker Pocharam Srinivas among others. Jagan was accompanied by his close aide and party general secretary V Vijayasai Reddy.

KCR embraced Jagan and exchanged bouquets. KCR later felicitated him with a shawl and also offered sweets for his emphatic victory. He also gifted him a veena as a memento. After a brief meeting, Jagan left to his residence in Lotus Pond, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

Jagan’s swearing-in is scheduled on May 30 in Vijayawada at Indira Gandhi stadium.

Both Jagan and KCR share a cordial relationship. In fact, Jagan was the first regional leader who responded positively to KCR’s idea of a Federal Front--an alternative to the BJP and Congress.

Jagan has also scheduled his visit to New Delhi on Sunday to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the swearing in ceremony.

Earlier in the day, after being elected as Legislative Party leader, Jagan along with a contingent of leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana, Dharmana Prasad took a special flight from Gannavaram and reached Hyderabad to meet Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan to stake claim to form government in Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan had won the Assembly elections by winning 151 of the total 175 seats. Besides the outstanding victory in Assembly elections, the YSRCP also won 22 out of the total 25 MP seats, and emerged as the fourth largest party in the parliament after BJP, Congress and DMK.
