Director Siva, an ardent Sai Baba devotee, ensures that all announcements and releases regarding his films are made on a Thursday. Keeping in line with this sentiment , he announced on Thursday, May 4th, that the most-expected teaser would be out on May 18th, which again is a Thursday.
Fans are excited that finally the countdown has begun for the teaser! Vivegam’s first look, featuring a dashing Ajith Kumar, was the cynosure of all eyes and this has created a huge buzz around the film. Known as the Emperor of Box Office, Ajith is currently busy with Vivegam’s shooting in Serbia along with the rest of the team. The film is slotted to hit the silver screens on August 10th to cash in on the long Independence Day weekend.
Directed by Siva, Vivegam has Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan playing the female leads. Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Arav Choudhury are also in the star cast and will be seen as the villains locking horns with Thala.
Bankrolled by TG Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films, Vivegam is made on a huge budget. Apart from an impressive star cast, the film has been shot extensively in Europe as the script demands it. The shooting commenced in Slovenia last year and has been progressing in various European countries such as Bulgaria and Serbia.
Vivegam boasts of a strong technical crew, with Anirudh scoring the music, Vetri is in charge of the camera and Rubens is doing the editing. With the shooting in final stages, expectations on the teaser and audio launch are high among film buffs.
