Well, don’t believe what you see. Apparently, that’s what M K Stalin seems to suggest following the second event of this kind, within a space of one year. After a video of him slapping an auto driver who tried to click a selfie with him appeared in the public domain on Thursday, he said, “Who said I hit him? Even last time when I was travelling on the Chennai Metro rail, I told a DMK member not to disturb other passengers, so I pushed that person,” while speaking to the media on Friday

He added, “This time as well, I told another DMK member not to cause inconvenience to others, so I asked him to behave. Yes, it’s true I was a bit forceful. I am strict so that people don’t cause disturbance to the public.”

Although, the video shows him slapping the auto driver, he alleged that to be a handiwork of the AIADMK. He went on to say, “"I think some graphics have been added. Just like how Jayalalithaa is shown to be participating in events through graphics (video editing), some graphics have been used here too."

Meanwhile, the auto driver too has released a video statement stating he has no involvement with the incident and the video was being used by Stalin's poltiical opponents.
