In any conversation on movies, if there is a Keralite, he/she is bound to praise the number of remakes of Malayalam movies or how Mollywood films ‘inspired’ movies in other languages.
While it is true that Malayalam cinema has broken many a barrier and has been top-notch, film makers in Malayalam have also been inspired by movies from other languages.
Some have been forthcoming and have revealed their ‘inspirations’. Others have been a tad untruthful and claimed their movies were original.
