Kajal Aggarwal’s performance in the recently released film Awe has won her accolades from all quarters.
The actor played the role of a mentally unstable person in the film and revealed in a recent interview that she had to do a lot of research to get into the skin of the character. Apart from reading a lot about mentally unstable persons, their behaviour and mannerisms, Kajal Aggarwal also discussed this with a psychologist in Mumbai to get a better feel of the character. All the hard work she put into the project was well worth it, as her role won her a lot of positive reviews.
In a recent media interaction, Kajal said that she wants to work in films like Arjun Reddy and Awe as it provides fodder to her acting skills. She went on to add that the new age directors are coming up with innovative filmmaking ideas and termed them the “future of Indian cinema”.
A heroine-centric film, Awe has Nithya Menen and Regina Cassandra playing the main leads along with Kajal. Directed by Prasanth Varma, who made his directorial debut with this movie, the film is produced by actor Nani and Prashanti Tipimeni under the banner Wall Poster Cinema.
Kajal is currently busy shooting for Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi, which is being directed by Upendra Madhav. She is paired opposite N Kalyan Ram in this flick with Manali Rathod, Vennela Kishore and Brahmanandam also being part of the star cast.
Besides this film, she also has Paris Paris in her kitty, which is the Tamil version of the Hindi blockbuster Queen. Kajal Aggarwal will be reprising the role played by Kangana Ranaut in the Bollywood film. Ramesh Aravind is directing Paris Paris with Manu Kumaran bankrolling it under his banner Mediente International Films Ltd and Liger Commercial Brokers. The shooting for this film is currently underway and it will be out in theatres in June this year.
With Kajal getting to sign women-centric films such as Awe and Paris Paris, she is definitely going places!
