As the shooting schedule of Hindi movie Pink’s Tamil remake Nerkonda Paarvai ended, popular Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor expressed hope that actor would do Hindi films.

Boney Kapoor expressed his wish to see Ajith act in Bollywood films after watching the rushes of the film. Heaping praises on the star, he also shared his desire to produce a Hindi film with Ajith acting in it. “Saw the rushes of #NerkondaPaaravai. Happy... What a performance by Ajith.... I hope he agrees to do Hindi films soon. Have 3 action scripts, hope he says yes to atleast one of them. #NerkondaPaaravai #Ajithkumar," he tweeted on Wednesday.

Nerkonda Paarvai is an official remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink. The film is directed by H. Vinoth of Theeran Oru Adhigaaram fame. The project marks the foray of producer Boney Kapoor into Kollywood.

Nerkonda Paarvai was launched in December 2018 and the shooting began in February. Vidya Balan, who has won several awards in her career, will be making her Kollywood debut with this film.

Actor Ajith Kumar will be donning the role of a lawyer which was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original version. Vidya Balan portrays the role of Ajith’s wife. Shraddha Srinath reprises the role of Taapsee's from the original. Kalki Koechlin will make her Tamil film debut with Nerkonda Paarvai. The actor will be seen in a special dance sequence that will have rap portions by a popular Malaysian rapper. Kalki, who has her roots in Pondicherry, has been voicing her desire to star in a Tamil movie for a long time. The film’s rest of the cast includes Rangaraj Pandey, Adhik Ravichandran, Arjun Chidambaram, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Aswin Rao and Sujith Shankar.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music for the movie and Nirav Shah has handled the camera. The original plan was to release the film on May 1 which is also Ajith's birthday but the makers have now pushed the film's release and it will hit the screens on August 10.
