Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the female lead in the upcoming film Yajamana, revealed that her screen name in the movie is Kaveri. The actor is pretty excited over the role she plays in the film; particularly her screen name. In this regard, she had told in an interview to Indian Express, â€śOne of the first things I did when I started shooting was to find out my screen name. I was so glad to know it was Kaveri. As soon as I heard it, I said it sounds nice. It is quite interesting and I wonder how people will react to it. This (Kodagu district) is my home and I got a name from my home.â€ť
Yajamana stars Darshan in the lead role with Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead. Tanya Hope will also be seen playing the other heroine in this flick. Dhananjay, Thakur Anoop Singh and Devaraj will be seen in significant roles in this flick. Bankrolled by Shylaja Nag and B Suresha, the film is being directed by Pon Kumaran. It is nearing completion and is in the post-production mode.
V Hari Krishna will not only be composing the tunes for Yajamana but is also credited as its creative head for penning the story along with director Pon Kumaran.
While the filmâ€™s title is Yajamana, its producer has confirmed that the team finalized the title after considering a couple of other titles. She also clarified that Darshanâ€™s Yajamana has nothing to do with the Vishnuvardhan starrer Yajamana that was released more than a decade and half ago.
Besides Yajamana, Rashmika Mandanna also has another Kannada film in the pipeline waiting for release and it is Pogaru. She has two other Telugu films â€“ Dear Comrade and Bheeshma.
She has her upcoming film Dear Comrade with Vijay Deverakonda. In the film Vijay will be playing a student leader with communist background while Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as a cricketer playing for Telangana state.
