A 25-year-old woman allegedly murdered her husband and carried his body on a two wheeler, along with the help of her teenaged nephew. The duo was arrested on Sunday night.

They confessed to the murder on Monday morning.

M. Pravallika and the 16-year-old boy had killed her husband, Pullaiah and the duo were driving towards the highway to dispose the body on a neighbour’s bike, when they were intercepted.

Pullaiah is a resident of Nallabandagudem in Kodada in Nalgonda district, but recently the married couple shifted to Hyderabad and were staying in LB Nagar.

Pullaiah suspected Pravallika of having an extramarital affair with her nephew. When he came to know about the affair, he warned them to end the relationship.

On September 22, the boy came to meet Pravallika when her husband was not at home. When Pullaiah saw them together after returning home, they had a fight, after which he was beaten to death.

Pravallika asked her neighbour Suresh for his bike and while taking the body to Kodada, they were stopped by two constables Nageswara Rao and Mahender at Pedda Amberpet.

Hayathnagar Inspector, J Narender Goud said, “On questioning, they said Pullaiah was found dead on a road on Saturday evening due to heavy drinking. After repeatedly questioning them, we found that the duo had killed Pullaiah. We also found injuries on Pullaiah’s head and groin.”

The inspector added, “Initially we had registered a case under 174 CrPC (suspicious death) and sent the body for autopsy but after their confession this morning, we have registered the case under Sections 302 and 201 IPC for murder and for destruction of evidence.”
