Actor Huma Qureshi, who makes her Tamil debut with superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala, has completed her portion in the film and she celebrated her association with the highly anticipated project with a party in Mumbai.

According to a Times of India report, “Huma has been shooting in Mumbai — at a popular college in the suburbs and also on the highway — for her sequences in the Pa Ranjith directorial. The last day of her shoot was on Sunday and after wrapping up the sequence, the team partied at a popular restobar. The party was attended by the cast and crew members of the film, including Ranjith and DOP Murali. Huma was quite emotional at the party and was overheard telling the team how much she would miss her shooting days."

It was initially rumoured that Huma would be playing Rajinikanth’s pair in the film. However, it was later clarified that she plays a college student and her role is very important from the story’s perspective.

Nana Patekar will be seen playing a politician with a negative shade. The film also stars Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi and Samuthirakani in important roles. Apparently, Rajinikanth will also have dialogues in Hindi, and the makers don’t intend to dub those lines in Tamil as it will appeal to non-Hindi speaking audiences as well.

The film is most likely to hit the screens in June next year. In the film, being produced by Dhanush, the superstar plays a slum-lord-turned-gangster and he will also have lines in Hindi and Marathi.

The film is tipped to be made as a Tamil-Hindi bilingual and will be dubbed in Telugu. The project marks the reunion of director Pa. Ranjith with Rajinikanth after Kabali, and it is believed that Kaala revolves around the lives of oppressed Tamils in Mumbai and their fight for equality. Santhosh Narayan is scoring the music, while Sreekar Prasad is taking care of the editing.
