Huawei has unveiled its latest smartphone under its sub-brand Honor. The Honor 10 GT comes with Turbo technology and will feature 8GB of RAM, which is a first for any of Huawei’s models.

According to the company, the GPU Turbo technology ensures that the overall performance of the phone improves by as much as 60%. That’s not all, the new technology will help extend battery life by 30% too. That could be a huge plus. Apart from these two major changes, the Night mode feature has been added and the rest of the specifications and features of the Honor 10 already in the market have not been tinkered with.

To recap, the specifications of the Honor 10 GT include a 5.84-inch full HD+, Full View display. The aspect ratio on the screen is 19:9. The in-house HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC is the CPU and as mentioned the RAM is 8GB and the internal storage 128GB. The battery is reasonably powerful at 3400mAh. The latest Android Oreo version 8.1 runs the device with the Huawei’s EMUI 8.1 skin on it.

The camera section is abundantly equipped with the rear camera setup having a dual sensor arrangement of 24MP+16MP primary and secondary sensors. The front camera too is a 24MP one, making the Honor 10 GT a camera-focused device. AI technology backs the operations of the camera making the user experience rich and powerful.

The existing Honor 10 devices are also being upgraded to GPU Turbo technology in stages between now and August. China is expected to receive it by July after which it will be extended to the Middle East, Asia Pacific,India And Europe by August.

Though there is no word on the price fixed for the new Honor 10 GT, it is likely that it will be more than the Honor 10 by around 10 to 15%. For the record, the Honor 10 retails in India at around Rs 33,000.
