The News Minute| April 3, 2015| 4.30 pm IST Some of us have seen creepy footage of videos from inside changing rooms in clothing stores being shared on various platforms, while others have been smart enough and saved themselves by spotting the cameras before going in.  However, when the person spotting the camera turns out to be the Union Human Resources Minister of India, an ordinary story like this can take on a totally different turn. And this is exactly what happened on Friday when HRD minister Smirti Irani who was on a holiday with her husband in Goa went to the Fab India store in Candolim, Goa. The actor-turned- politician spotted the camera pointed at a changing room when she was entering the room. Irani immediately called up Michael Lobo, the local MLA, who then came rushing to the store with the police.  A police search quickly confirmed Irani’s apprehensions and an FIR was lodged for outraging the modesty of a woman. Micheal Lobo later confirmed to the media that they have recovered a hard disk that showed footage from within the changing room. Lobo also says that the camera was installed four months ago. Later, Goa police arrested three people and the case has been handed over to the Goa crime branch. In a statement released to the media later in the evening, Fab India said that it was "deeply concerned and shocked at this allegation. We are in the process of investigating this internally and will be cooperating fully with the police. Senior officials of the company are on their way to Goa and will be present during the investigation."
