Two new laptops have been launched in the Indian market by HP India. These are the HP Spectre Folio and the HP Spectre x360. Both these laptops should be considered high-end machines with their prices ranging from Rs 1.3 lakh to 2 lakh approximately.

HP claims it has taken enormous care while manufacturing these laptops, starting with the kind of materials of construction right up to the user experience level the laptops are capable of delivering.  There are some innovative features added to these machines including in the designs and is deploying cutting edge technology and engineering. HP says it has made thee premium laptops keeping in mind the upwardly mobile executive who tends to use the laptop most of the time while being out of the home. Here are some highlights of the specs and features of the two laptops from HP.

HP Spectre Folio     

HP is calling the exterior design of this laptop as “manucrafturing” as they have used leather to cover the outer surface including the place where the palms rest. Even the stitching on the leather has been given special attention. The laptop’s versatility comes from the ability to seamlessly convert between three different positions. An 8th Gen, Intel® Core™ i7 processor is the engine under the hood and the laptop is kept cool through what is called a fan-less thermal design apart from the leather exterior that lends its support. The RAM provided on this laptop is 16GB, there is the 512GB SSD storage [ii] 1W 400-nits FHD. Bang & Olufsen have been associated in providing the best audio experience. It’s a touchscreen laptop.   

HP Spectre x360

Laptop, Tent, Reverse and Tablet are four positions this laptop can be used in. The latest quad-core 8th generation Intel® Core™ processors fitted in the range and HP claims they have a very long battery life. The laptop can be opened easily from all three sides. It delivers better audio with a special provision to switch off the camera when not in use through a switch. This ensures privacy. Again, Bang & Olufsen have played their part in providing the audio capabilities on the HP Spectre x360.

The HP Spectre Folio is available now in Cognac Brown at a price of Rs 1,99,990 and the HP Spectre x360 is available now in Dark Ash Grey at a starting price of Rs 1,29,990; and in Poseidon Blue at a starting price of Rs 1,39,990.
