The movement to stop PepsiCo from sucking out several lakh litres of water every day from the Tamirabarani river in southern Tamil Nadu is fast gaining traction online.

The Change.org petition has garnered more than 45,000 signatures and several Facebook groups have been started, and this despite negligible attention from the big media houses in Tamil Nadu. You can read our story on the issue here.
