Director Chimbu Devan shot to limelight with the comedy Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi and is currently directing the film Kasada Thabara - Tales of South Madras. This movie is being bankrolled by Venkat Prabhu's Black Ticket Company banner and Ravindran's Trident Arts. The title of the film Kasada Thabara was revealed by actor Suriya online. He tweeted

An interesting feature about this film is that six editors and six cinematographers have worked in this film. Ace editor A Sreekar Prasad revealed on his social media page that Antony, Kasi Viswanathan, Praveen KL, Rooban, Vivek Harshan, and Raja Mohammed were responsible for the film’s editing.

And veteran cinematographer PC Sreeram revealed the six cameraman associated with Kasada Thabara. PC Sreeram revealed the names of the six cinematographers who worked on Kasada Thabara to be MS Prabhu, Vijay Milton, RD Rajasekhar, SR Kathir, Balasubramaniem and Sakthi Saravanan. He wrote on Twitter,

Venkat Prabhu’s father and noted lyricist and music director Gangai Amaren revealed the names of the six music directors.

According to sources, Kasada Thabara will be bringing out six different perspectives of one single incident. The shooting of this film is almost over and is expected to hit the marquee soon.

Meanwhile, a decade since the release of the film, its sequel of Chimbu Devan's  Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi  went on the floors in Chennai in 2017. The film marked the reunion of Vadivelu, director Shankar and Chimbu Devan, the trio behind the success of the original.

But Last April, Vadivelu chose to opt out of the project after being accused by the makers for not showing up on time for the shoot, following which the project was put on the back-burner.
