Priya Anand is all set to make her debut in Sandalwood with the Puneeth Rajkumar starrer Rajakumara.

And in the film, Priya will be playing a Salsa instructor, who teaches Puneeth how to dance.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Priya said, “One of the craziest parts of the film is how I teach dancing to Puneeth. It sounds crazy, right? He is such a great dancer, and the idea of me teaching him to dance was quite mad! I kept telling Santosh that the script needed to change as my part was very funny, and it made no sense that I taught dance to Puneeth Rajkumar.”

Priya said she had receiving several offers in the past to star in a Kannada film but it did not work out for various reasons. Eventually, she was offered the role in Rajakumara and couldn’t decline as it had the Power Star in the lead role.

The actor also had a special word of praise for director Santosh Ananddram. She said that ever since she watched his Mr and Mrs Ramachari, she was keen to work with him and it materialised with Rajakumara.

Having acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films, Priya Anand is now one of the few stars to act in all the four regional language films, and also has a couple of Hindi movies to her credit.
