Hyderabad University’s Controller of Examinations has given an ultimatum to the administration, saying that either Apparao must be removed from the VC’s post or it must accept his resignation.

During the meeting of the academic council on Wednesday Professor V Krishna who is also a Hindi professor told The News Minute that he walked out of the meeting which was held at the VC’s lodge on campus at around 10.30.

Krishna had submitted his resignation on January 23, along with 15 other faculty members.

“Everything was going very smoothly until March 22, when the VC came and provoked everyone. I have walked out because I feel he doesn't deserve the post of Vice Chancellor. As controller of examination I resign from my administrative post until the VC is here. I will only resume my administrative duties if the VC resigns,” he said.

The university has not accepted the resignations of these faculty members.

Krishna also said that around 30 to 40 faculty members walked out from the meeting along with him.

He said that their demands included the sacking of the vice chancellor if he did not resign himself. Krishna also sought the withdrawal of the cases against the students and faculty members.
