The first week of July this year, saw the video of a visually impaired girl, Tumpa Kumari, a student of the Braj Kishore Blind School in Ranchi singing “Sun Raha Hai Na Tu” from the film Aashiqui 2 go viral.

Almost one and a half months later, the same girl is on top of the world as she is being trained by Singer Hariharan, who is considered one of the best musicians in India.

Her earlier video got viral with close to 3 lakh views now and saw various media channels reach out to her for an interview as a result. According to Hindustan Times, Hariharan's friend had seen the video, and asked the singer to watch it as well, who in turn was so impressed, that he traced her and offered to train her.

"Tumpa's voice has a unique quality, which demands attention. It will compel you to listen to her. All one needs to do is train her in the technical aspects of singing," the singer told HT.

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, who was also swept by Tumpa's voice has decided to fund her training and other related expenses.

Tumpa has seen a troublesome life as she lost both her parents at an early age and this is her dream come true. "I started singing on the streets at the age of five, to earn money. Thanks to the help I am getting, I am actually daring to dream now. I want to become a good singer, and, if possible, through the earnings, I want to support my sisters," she told the newspaper.

Here's the earlier video that went viral.
