Guinness Pakru sets a new record and this time it is for being the shortest producer. He has produced the film Fancy Dress and also played the lead role in it. He was awarded by the Best of India Records. The certificate was handed over to Pakru by Best of India Records Executive (Kochi) Tony Chittettukalam at the Ernakulam Press Club.
On receiving the award, he has been quoted by the cinemaexpress as saying, “I went through several hardships in life to gain the recognition that I have now. I started as an actor, became a director, and now being a producer encourages me to make new attempts in my professional and personal life.”
The film is directed by Ranjith Skaria and bankrolled under the banner Sarva Deeptha Productions. Ajith Kumar and Ranjith Skaria have penned the script for this film while Pradeep Nair has cranked the camera and Ratheesh Vega has composed the music. Hareesh Karanan shares screen space with Pakru in this flick.
Born Ajay Kumar, the actor got the name Guinness Pakru after making an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the shortest actor to play a character in a full length film. This was the role of a prince called Gajendra in the film Albutha Dweep.
Guinness Pakru’s last film release was Ilayaraja. Wielding the megaphone for Ilayaraja was Madhav Ramdasan of Apothecary and Melvilasom fame. Madhav Ramadasan also penned the movie’s story while the screenplay and dialogues were by Sudeep T George. In the movie, Guinness Pakru played the lead role named Vanajan with Gokul Suresh making a cameo appearance as Bryan.
It may be noted here that in the year 2013, Guinness Pakru turned director with the film Kuttiyum Kolum which had him play the lead role with Munna, Adithya Ayota, Sanusha, Vijaya Raghavan and Ponnama Babu also included in the cast.
