Tollywood star Nani is upbeat about his upcoming film Gang Leader. Expectations are very high on this film as the title Gang Leader is the same as yesteryear hit movie starring Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role.
Nani’s Gang Leader is completely different from Chiranjeevi’s film, reports confirming there will be no similarities between the two projects except the title. This has upped the speculations about the Nani starrer making fans wonder what the film is about. According to some reports doing the rounds, we hear that Nani’s Gang Leader will bring out a new facet of the actor, something that fans haven’t seen before. His ability to emote and portray humour will be brought to the fore, we hear.
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravishankar, Mohan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers with Vikram K Kumar wielding the megaphone. Anirudh is composing music for Gang Leader. It may be recalled that the final schedule of this film began in Delhi and we hear that the filmmakers are planning to complete the entire schedule soon.
It may be noted here that the shooting for Gang Leader came to a standstill when Nani got hurt on the sets. The actor injured his leg and had to be on complete rest for a week on doctor’s advice. The star, after recuperating, joined the sets in Delhi.
From the pre-look poster that was released recently, we got to know that the teaser of Gang Leader would be released on July 24.
The makers of Gang Leader are planning to release the film in late August, so they have just a few weeks to complete the shooting. With Nani’s injury and the postponement of the shooting, there were rumours that the film’s release may be postponed but we hear that it is right on track now. The filmmakers have locked August 30 as the release date.
