Instax Mini 9 is the name of the digital camera that Fujifilm has launched in the Indian market this week. The device is a successor to the Instax Mini 8 and it is capable of shooting pictures in close range and printing it out instantly, somewhat similar to the Polaroid one is familiar with.

There are several features of the device that make it an attractive buy for some fun photography and getting instant prints.

Looking at the basic specifications of the Instax Mini 9, it has a lens that comes in two components and a Real Image Finder viewfinder. The camera is meant to focus on objects from 600mm or 0.6 meters to infinity; however, the flash will not be effective beyond around three meters.

The shutter speed is 1/60 seconds and the flash is of the constant firing nature with a gap of 0.2 to 6 seconds required for the flash to revive. This is when the battery is practically new. The flash cannot be turned off, but there is an automatic light adjustment feature that takes care of this element.

Two AA batteries power this Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 camera and offers around 100 shots in one go. And the print that is delivered with each shot will be of a fixed 62x46mm size.

The loading of the film has to be done manually while the print is ejected out automatically. The time needed for the photo to be developed and to come out is about a minute and a half.

Some interesting features on the camera include a selfie mirror attached next to the lens that gives you an idea of how the framing is being done.

Another facility is, in case you need closer shots, you can attach a closeup lens that permits you to focus on objects as close as 35cms. The operation of the camera itself is quite simple and by just adjusting the dial for brightness and powering on, you can just keep shooting pictures.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 camera is sold in white attractive colors; these are, smoky white, ice blue and cobalt blue, flamingo pink and lime green. Analysts believe that apart from the general public, professionals like fashion designers find this camera quite useful.

And in terms of pricing also these cameras cost as little as Rs 5, 999.
