Foodpanda, India’s fastest growing food delivery company has crossed the 125,000 Delivery Partner mark on its platform. Five weeks ago, Foodpanda announced onboarding an additional 60,000 partners across India.

According to a statement from the company, it achieved the target on the back of increased demand on its platform and rapid geographic expansion planned ahead.

Speaking on this milestone, Pranay Jivrajka, CEO at Foodpanda India said, “Delivery partners are key to our mission of bringing the best food experience from our restaurant partners to our consumers. With India’s largest network of 125,000+ Delivery Partners, we are best positioned to serve a billion Indians.”

Ola-owned Foodpanda also aims to create over 500,000 opportunities for delivery partners over the next couple of years.

“We have also brought together Ola’s superior onboarding processes, technology and 24x7 support for Foodpanda delivery partners, for the first time in this industry, helping build an unmatched experience for them,” Pranay added.

Foodpanda also claims that it is the only platform that empowers Delivery Partners with technology that lets them log in and off the platform according to their convenience. This, Foodpands says, allows them earn more in line with demand cycles.

With superior technology from the Ola ecosystem, a robust backend for onboarding partners as well as dedicated support systems like a 24x7 helpline for partners in addition to walk-in centres for single window support, Foodpanda continues to raise the bar on partner experience in the industry.

Ola acquired the Indian operations of Foodpanda in December 2017 for roughly $40 million, giving it entry into the highly competitive foodtech space in India. FoodPanda was also recently integrated into the Ola app to be able to reach an additional customer base on 150 million.

As part of Ola, Foodpanda currently reaches out to over 150 million consumers across the country cumulatively. Foodpanda is currently, processing over 300,000 orders a day from 25,000+ restaurant partners across the country.
