The five were found to be guilty of conducting fake courts in the name of “arbitral tribunal.” In an unprecedented step the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry restrained five Coimbatore lawyers from practice for a period of three years or until the disciplinary proceedings were disposed off, Times of India reported.The disciplinary committee said that the five had indulged in illegal activities in a calculated manner for financial gain and by doing so had brought bad reputation to the advocates’ community. The members of the Coimbatore Bar Association who had made the complaint had said that the five advocates were conducting fake trials in fake “arbitral tribunal” that had no sanction, permission or recognition of the Supreme Court or the High Court or any other competent authority.
