The first look of the upcoming film Oh Baby! is out. The poster features Samantha Akkineni with the veteran actor Lakshmi in the background. This has put an end to all rumours that Samantha will be playing both the young and older version of the lead character in Oh Baby.

The first look was unveiled on the special occasion as the production house Suresh Productions, established by late producer Rama Naidu and one of the reputed banners of the Telugu Film Industry, has completed 55 years in the industry.

Sharing the poster on her official social media accounts, Samantha wrote, "Congratulations to #sureshproductions on completing 55 years of an absolutely legendary journey. I'm very happy to be a part of their next. Here's introducing you all to #Swathi from #OhBaby@nandureddyy enjoyment maamul ga undadu @peoplemediafactory | @gurufilms1 .. releasing soon".   

The film is the remake of the South Korean comedy-drama film that was directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. Na Moon-hee stars as a woman in her 70s who magically finds herself in the body of her 20-year-old self after having herself photographed at a mysterious photo studio. Samantha is playing the younger version and veteran actor Lakshmi will be playing the senior version, as the first look poster indicates.

The Korean film is remade by director BV Nandini Reddy. Oh Baby! Yentha Sakkagunnave’s star cast also includes Rao Ramesh and Naga Shaurya in important roles. The film is bankrolled by Sunita Tati under the banner People's Media Factory and Suresh Productions. Mickey J. Meyer is composing music for this film.

Samantha’s last film release was Majili, in which she had shared the screen space with her husband Naga Chaitanya. It was a romantic drama directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Sahu Garapati, Harish Peddi, Sushil Choudhary under the banner of Shine Screens Production Rad Film Production. Divyansha Kaushik was also part of the star cast. Tunes for the five songs in this film were composed by Gopi Sunder and S Thaman had composed the background score. The film received a positive response from audiences and critics. It was made on a budget of Rs 21 crore and fetched Rs 90 crore at the box office.
