A video uploaded by YouTube user pawani ar reveals what goes on behind the scenes in a kissing scene for a Tamil film.
Forget mood lighting or warming up to your co-star, Kajal Aggarwal who kisses Suriya in the 2012 film “Maattrraan”, in reality fakes the lip-lock.
She fakes it on a chroma screen by kissing a chroma cushion while Suriya prefers to use a plastic sheet.
Kajal had never shot a kissing scene until 2016 Bollywood film “Do Lafzon Ki Kahani” with Randeep Hooda. According to a DNA report, Kajal was uncomfortable with the scene until director Deepak Tijori explained the scene’s significance to her.
The film crew of “Maattrraan” however, had no such problems as they got around the actress’ reluctance to kiss on-screen by faking the entire scene. The video also gives a glimpse of the final outcome.
