The News Minute | June 4, 2014 | 1:46pm IST The month of June has been designated as the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBT Pride Month). And to mark the celebrations, Facebook has launched a set of free stickers. The pro LGBT stickers or emojois can be downloaded via Facebook chat. Just launch facebook chat, click on the smiley face at the bottom and then click on the shopping cart icon. From here you can download the free 28 sticker set called Pride designed by Cathy Lo. President Barack Obama recently proclaimed June as the official LGBT pride month and stated “Our commitment to advancing equality for the LGBT community extends far beyond our borders. In many places around the globe, LGBT people face persecution, arrest, or even state-sponsored execution. This is unacceptable. The United States calls on every nation to join us in defending the universal human rights of our LGBT brothers and sisters”. Facebook has been a huge supporter of the LGBT community and earlier this year moved on from the male/female gender to add more than 50 unique gender options for their users. This recently launched LGBT pride month sticker collection is an extension of this support. The list of colourful stickers feature same-sex marriages, same-sex couples and one of even a drag queen. So go ahead and check out the entire collection.
