The protests have been going on for a few weeks with parents claiming that Dalit students have been cleaning toilets for over eight months while those belonging to other communities were left free . Protestors claimed that children studying in class VI to VIII were made to clean toilets after school hours and were threatened with severe action if they disobeyed, reported PTI. The issue which was highlighted about 20 days ago, was followed up with the arrests of the eight teachers based on complaints by political parties, said the report.
