Dulquer Salmaan will be teaming up with director Srinath Rajendran for a movie after six long years. Dulquer confirmed the news on a social networking site. Incidentally, the star will be playing the role of the most wanted criminal in Kerala, Sukumara Kurup.
An accused in the murder of a film representative Chacko, Sukumara Kurup allegedly burnt him alive in a car on the road. Investigations revealed that Sukumara Kurup wanted to fake his own death to gain from insurance. While he managed to escape and is still not traceable even after 33 years, his accomplices driver Ponnappan and brother-in-law Bhaskar Pillai were sentenced to life imprisonment.
Director Srinath Rajendran will be making a film on Sukumara Kurup and Dulquer will be playing the main lead in it. Incidentally, Baby had directed a film, NH 47 based on this incident in 1984.
There are huge expectations on this flick as Dulquer and Srinath are joining hands after six long years. The director had wielded the megaphone for the starâ€™s maiden film Second Show, which went on to seal his place as a leading star in the Malayalam film industry.
Written by Vini Vishwa Lal, Second Show was directed by Srinath Rajendran and produced by AOPL Entertainment Private Limited. With a slew of films in his kitty, Dulquer is having a busy year ahead. While his Solo is in the post production stages, Oru Bayangara Kamukan and Mahanati are in different stages of production. The star will be completing these films this year while the film with Srinath will be out in 2018. The starâ€™s fans are elated that he is teaming up with Srinath as they are hopeful that it would be a successful venture at the box office just like their previous outing Second Show.
