Directorial dreams: Vikram would like to work with Vijay if he gets into director’s chair

The actor recently directed the music video, "Spirit of Chennai"

After two decades as an actor Chiyaan Vikram has revealed that he has plans to get into the director’s chair.  And if at all his dream materialises, he said that he’s like to work with Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay.

Currently awaiting the release of “Iru Mugan”, Vikram fulfilled his directorial dream recently by helming a music video titled “Spirit of Chennai”, as a tribute to the people of the city and their unity during the floods last December.

Vikram received much praise for directing the video, which featured popular stars from Indian cinema including Abhishek Bachchan.

In Anand Shankar-directed “Iru Mugan”, Vikram will be seen playing a secret agent as well as a transgender. Slated for release on September 2, the film also stars Nayanthara and Nithya Menen in important roles. Produced by Thameens Films, “Iru Mugan” has music by Harris Jayaraj.
