Producer Dil Raju is basking in glory over the grand success of his latest production venture Maharshi. The producer was in Tirupati to offer his prayers to Lord Venkateswara on the success and handed out a press note that came as a surprise. According to the press note, Dil Raju will be introducing ace director VV Vinayak as an actor. The note reads, “Superhit Producer #DilRaju, Director @directorvamshi offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on the occasion of #Maharshi's Blockbuster Success. #DilRaju has announced that he will be Introducing Sensational Director #VVVinayak as an actor in his upcoming production.”
He reportedly told, “I recently heard a script and after deliberating over who would suit the role, I have decided to introduce VV Vinayak as an actor under my banner. Vinay has also agreed to the project and all he wanted was for me to announce the same here.” More details about his project with VV Vinayak are expected to be out officially soon.
Meanwhile, Maharshi is doing well at the theatres. Directed by Vamsi Paidapally, it is a high budget project with a major portion of it shot in the United States. The film is about three friends played by Mahesh Babu, Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. It also has veteran actor Jayapradha playing a pivotal role. Maharshi is produced jointly by Dil Raju, C. Ashwini Dutt and Prasad V. Potluri under the banners Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies and PVP Cinema. The technical crew of this film includes Devi Sri Prasad as its music composer, K. U. Mohanan as the cinematographer and Praveen KL as the editor. Released on May 9, Maharshi is receiving positive reviews from the critics and the box office collections are soaring high.
Vinayak has appeared in many blockbusters in such as Aadhi, Dil, Tagore, Adhurs, Krishna and Khaidi No 150. Most popular was his role in Chiranjeevi's Tagore.
VV Vinayak directed mega star Chiranjeevi's 150th film titled Khaidi No 150. It marked the comeback of the megastar Chiranjeevi in Tollywood and was the official remake of Thalapathy Vijay's blockbuster hit Kaththi. The Telugu remake was also a smash hit.
