There have been reports that Sekhar Kammula is keen on directing a sequel to the 2010 hit movie Leader. Starring Rana Daggubati in the lead role, it was a political thriller. While fans are eagerly waiting for news about his next movie, reports suggested that the director was not keen on directing a political film right now. The film will be produced by Dil Raju, who had bankrolled Fidaa and Leader. Reports state that the director is keen on roping in Vijay Devarakonda of Arjun Reddy fame to play the lead role in the upcoming film.

Fidaa, made on a budget of Rs. 13 crore, collected Rs. 90 crore. Written and directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film was produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. With the director deciding to go ahead with a romantic entertainer yet again, his fans have to wait for a political thriller from him.
