For the past few days, director KS Ravi Kumar and actor N Balakrishna have been camping in Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu where the shooting of their upcoming film is underway. With the director done with this schedule, the team has gone for a break. Reports say that details about the next schedule and its location will be updated very soon. Incidentally, this is the first time Balayya and KS Ravi Kumar are working together.

The film, which has not been titled yet, happens to be the star’s 102nd venture. It has Nayanthara playing the female lead and she is pairing up with him after the grand success of Sri Rama Rajyam which was released in 2011. They had worked together in Simhaa earlier. Apart from Nayan, the film also features Malayalam actor Natasha Doshi, who was seen in movies like Manthiran and Hide and Seek, in a pivotal role. It will mark her debut in Tollywood. Others in the star cast of this entertainer include Prakash Raj and Jayaprakash Reddy. The film is being produced by C Kalyan under his banner CK Entertainment. Chittaranjan Bhatt is composing music for this film.

While the film’s shooting is still on, the satellite rights have been lapped up by Gemini TV for a whopping price, say sources. Reports are that it is slated for release early next year, probably for Sankaranthi.

KS Ravi Kumar, known for coming out with good family entertainers, has reportedly come up with a strong characterization for Balakrishna and his fans are simply going to love it, say sources.

Balayya has had two film releases – Gautamiputra Satakarni and Paisa Vasool – this year so far. While the former, a period film did good business at the box office, the latter opened to mixed response.
