Here’s some news about Dhanush’s next film. It is titled ‘Thodari’ and it is written and directed by Prabhu Solomon of Myna fame. Dhanush is teaming up with Prabhu Solomon for the first time and the film is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.
The star cast includes Keerthi Suresh, Pooja Jhaveri, Ganesh Venkatraman, Harish Uthaman, Thambi Ramaiah, Radharavi and Karunakaran. The film’s budget is about Rs. 40 crore.
In the first poster, one could see Dhanush on the edge of a fast moving train car, as he grips onto the train and speaks in a walkie-talkie holding in other hand looking very panicky and from his attire we can clearly make out he is a railway pantry worker and his character is named ‘Poochi Appan’
The second poster is even more romantic, featuring Keerthi Suresh is more adventurous , both seen jumping between two rail compartments.
We hear that portions of the film are shot in and around a train as Dhanush, the hero, is a pantry worker in the movie.
Director Prabhu Solomon said that it is a story inspired by a trip from his own life. "In 1991, after I graduated, I hopped on a train to Ghaziabad from Neyveli for my first job. It was my first train journey, and it lasted two days and one night. Everything that I experienced during the course of this trip inspired me to make ‘Thodari’,” he said.
Prabhu is known for working with new faces but this time he has chosen Dhanush. He said, “Yes, it’s true that I prefer working with new faces, but Dhanush is an exception. He’s an amazing actor and this film will showcase another side of the actor in him."
