Popular television host Divya Darshini alias DD will be making a cameo appearance in Dhanush’s directorial debut Power Paandi.
Shooting the sequence involving her, Dhanush said that she floored him and the team with her performance as she did it with ease and confidence. His post in Twitter regarding DD’s performance was: “Filmed @DivyaDarshini camo in #powerpaandi. She performed with so much ease and confidence. Very happy and surprised. Superb DD.” Interestingly, the film will have Dhanush, Gautham Menon and Madonna Sebastian also in a cameo.
Written and directed by Dhanush, he is also producing Power Paandi under his home banner Wunderbar Films. It has Raj Kiran playing the title role with Prasanna as his son, and Nadhiya, Robo Shankar, Vidyu Raman, Delhi Ganesh and Chaya Singh in pivotal roles. Sean Rolden is composing tunes for the film and Velraj is cranking the camera. GK Prasanna is the editor of Power Paandi.
It may be noted here that Dhanush’s dad Kasturi Raja’s directorial debut also had Raj Kiran in the lead role. The film went on to become a big hit and the hope is that it continues with Dhanush’s Power Paandi as well.
