National Award winning actor Dhanush’s cameo appearance in the Mammootty – Dileep starrer Kammath and Kammath marked his debut in the Malayalam film industry. The actor, a few months ago, revealed that he will be bankrolling a Malayalam film under his home banner Wunderbar Films that will have Tovino Thomas in the lead role with Arun Dominic wielding the megaphone. Touted to be a dark comedy, this film has not been titled yet.
And it has been confirmed now that the actor - producer will be associated with another Malayalam film as well. Debut director Arun George K David had posted on his Facebook page that his upcoming movie, titled Ladoo, is being produced by Mini Studio and that Dhanush will be presenting it. Ladoo has Shabareesh Varma, Balu Varghese, Vinay Forrt and Saju Navodaya in the lead roles with Rajesh Murugesan scoring the music and Gautham Shankar cranking the camera.
Dhanush, an accomplished actor, has a keen eye for producing films. His production ventures in Tamil have gone on to become blockbusters and his foray into the Malayalam film industry is expected to bring in the same results.
Dhanush made his acting debut with Thulluvadho Ilamai in 2002 and since then there has been no looking back for this actor. He turned producer with 3, which was his wife Aishwarya’s directorial debut. The film also marked the debut of Anirudh as music director. Dhanush made his debut as director with Pa Paandi which also won him accolades. He is currently busy with his acting assignments Velai Illadha Pattadhari, Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Vada Chennai.
Yet another prestigious project by Wunderbar Films happens to be Rajinikanth’s untitled film. Donning the director’s robes for this project would be Pa Ranjith of Kabali fame.
