Congress leader has got Bharatiya Hindu Parishad inaugurated as scheduled, despite veiled warnings from his state party chief.
Puttur Block Congress leader Hemanath Shetty, who describes himself as “Congress by birth”, went ahead with his plans to build a Hindu organization that was not aligned with the Sangh Parivar. He had told The News Minute that the inauguration would be done on January 14.

The organization was inaugurated by the performance of a pooja and several religious leaders were present.
Some days ago, state Congress president G Parameshwara had said that such activities would invite action.
