Cold truth about Mount Everest: Why over 200 bodies of climbers remain on the mountain
Features Friday, May 01, 2015 - 05:30
Climbing Mount Everest has always been considered a challenging task and not all those who set to conquer the world's highest peak made their way down. A recent video by "Did you know" says there are more than 200 bodies on Mount Everest and some are also used as landmarks.
Between the years 1924 to 2013, 248 people have died while climbing the Everest. Of these, more than 200 bodies still remain on the mountain, as it is very difficult to bring down the bodies. If a climber team attempts to bring down a body, they would take too long and could even be stranded there overnight.
