Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has apparently asked his Cabinet colleagues to be more responsive to elected representatives, making it mandatory for them to be present at the Vidhan Soudha twice a week for grievance redressal.
According to a DNA report, Siddaramaiah has asked Cabinet members to be present at either the Vidhan Soudha or Vikas Soudha on Wednesdays and Thursdays so that both members of the public and MLAs could approach them with issues that needed to be sorted out.
The decision reportedly came after MLAs brought up the issue during the Congress Legislative Party meeting on Monday morning.
Siddaramaiah has also asked ministers to be more attentive to the working of the district congress committees.
