Actor-producer Ram Charan Teja is currently one of the busiest men in Tollywood. The star has just completed the shooting of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, directed by Boyapati Srinivas, and the film is gearing up for release for Sankranthi next year. He has moved on to the SS Rajamouli directorial RRR.
RRR is a magnum opus made on a high budget with Ram Charan and Jr NTR playing the lead roles. The shooting for this film commenced recently and is progressing at a good speed. Reports say that the director has begun the shooting with an action sequence that will feature both the heroes. While Jr NTR will be sporting a bulky look with beard, Ram Charan will be seen with a completely different new hairstyle. A top hairstylist has been brought in to work on it. Massive, extravagant sets have been erected for shooting the fight scene and it is progressing well. Meanwhile, the team is scouting for suitable heroines to pair up with the heroes. This mega project is being bankrolled by DVV Dhanayya under his banner DVV Entertainments on a budget of Rs 300 crore. It is scheduled for a 2020 Sankranthi release.
With two of his acting assignments taking shape, Ram Charan also has two production ventures needing his attention. One is the biopic Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which has his father, the mega star Chiranjeevi, playing the title role. The biopic is being bankrolled by Ram Charan under his home banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crore. It has a bevy of stars from different film industries, including Amitabh Bachchan who will be seen making a guest appearance as Gosayi Venkanna. The others in the star cast are Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Kiccha Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji. R Rathnavelu is the cameraman for this film, with A Sreekar Prasad editing it and Amit Trivedi wielding the music baton. It is a trilingual that will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Ram Charan’s home banner is also getting ready to produce another film that will be directed by Koratala Siva. More details about this film are expected to be out soon.
