Director SS Rajamouli’s next directorial after the massive success of the Baahubali franchise would be the multi starrer RRR. The film will have Jr NTR and Ram Charan Teja playing the lead roles. Quite a few weeks ago, the first look of this film was launched with the tentative title RRR standing for the three Rs associated with the project – Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Rama Rao.

Also, there were reports that the film would be a high budget venture with some media outlets claiming the budget to be close to Rs. 200 crores. However, sources close to the film had denied it outright. Now, RRR’s producer DVV Dhanayya has clarified at an event that the budget is Rs. 300 crores, which is much higher than that of Baahubali: The Beginning or Baahubali: The Conclusion. It may be mentioned that the budget of both these films combined was Rs. 450 crores.

The film’s pre-production is currently going on and its lead stars – Ram Charan and Jr NTR – have returned from the US after completing the test photo shoot. With both the stars busy with their respective assignments right now, the shooting of RRR is expected to commence in August this year and its release would be next year.\

Ram Charan had reportedly said in an interview that when the director approached him to play the role, he never thought twice and immediately agreed to be a part of it without listening to the script. Well, that is the level of confidence he has in SS Rajamouli. Director SS Rajamouli shares a good rapport with both Ram Charan as well as Jr NTR after having worked with the former in Magadheera and with the latter in Student No: 1. With both these films turning out to be blockbuster hits, fans are waiting in anticipation to know more about the multi-starrer.

With SS Rajamouli’s previous film release Baahubali taking the Indian film industry by storm with its massive victory, it is yet another reason to look forward to RRR to know what the director has up his sleeves this time around.
