Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are headed for a divorce.
Brangelina is going to split.
TMZ says that Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt following a conflict over “kids, substance abuse and anger”. Jolie reportedly filed legal documents on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences.
BBC reports that the actress's lawyer has confirmed the actress filed for "dissolution of marriage" on Monday, adding the "decision was made for the health of the family".
"She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time," the lawyer reportedly added in the statement.
The couple have six children together - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.
Jolie seems to have made the following key demand - physical custody of the couple's 6 children, with just visitations rights for Pitt. “It's significant ... she does not want Brad to have joint physical custody ... only joint legal custody,” says TMZ.
It is further reported that Jolie was extremely upset with Pitt’s parenting methods.
“Angelina became "fed up" with Brad's consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is "an anger problem" ... felt it became dangerous for the children,” sources told TMZ.
Jolie has listed the date of separation as Sept. 15, 2016.
The couple have been together since 2004 but only married in August 2014.
